At Vasa-Raptors, our off-season training program is thoughtfully structured into three key periods: Spring, Summer, and Fall.
During the Spring phase, the focus is on recovery and rejuvenation following a demanding competition season. This period allows athletes to recharge while maintaining a foundation of fitness.
In the Summer, the goal shifts to building a strong aerobic base, developing strength, and raising the lactate threshold. This phase lays the groundwork for the endurance and power needed during the winter season. When we reach the Fall, our approach becomes more sport-specific while still promoting balance. Athletes are encouraged to continue participating in their chosen fall sports, while supplementing that training with ski-specific workouts offered through the Vasa-Raptors. This dual-sport approach supports well-rounded athletic development and enhances skiing performance heading into winter.
